Green Light for New Research on Displacement in Middle Tennessee

I am pleased to share that the Middle Tennessee State University Institutional Review Board has officially approved my latest research study, "The Spatial Echo: A CGR Analysis of Displacement and Infrastructural Strain in Nashville and Its Satellite Cities: Clarksville and Murfreesboro."

ree

As Middle Tennessee continues to experience rapid growth, we must understand the "spatial echo" of this expansion—specifically how displacement in the urban core ripples outward, creating infrastructural strain on our satellite cities.

Key areas of inquiry include:

  • The socio-economic dynamics of displacement.

  • The pressure is placed on educational and municipal infrastructures in Clarksville and Murfreesboro.

  • The lived experiences of those navigating this shifting landscape.

  • Health-related, education, employment, etc., concerns

This work is critical for informing equitable educational policy and urban planning as we move forward. Data collection begins soon.
